How to play the Phrazle?
As a logic puzzle game, Phrazle requires good analytical skills from its players. There are no set rules for how to play or how the game is set up in Phrazle. You are free to make up your own rules or just make them up on the spot. Seeing word and phrase patterns is the key to winning the game. In each round, a set of four words is given at random. You have a certain amount of time to use these four words in as many phrases as you can. Before each round, the game will tell you a few facts so you can figure out what's going on. These won't change how you play, but they can help you figure out what other players are trying to do.
In fact, you'll have six chances to guess how sentences and phrases are put together. Each guess must be made up of only real words and use all the spaces. After each guess, the color of the tiles will change to show how close you were to the right answer:
Green: The letter is in the correct place in the first word.
Yellow: The letter is in the wrong place, even though it is in the first word.
Purple: The letter is in the first word but not the second.
Gray: The phrase doesn't have any letters.
Tips and Tricks
One of the main things that make a game fun is the way it is played. We'll give you examples on Phrazle to help you understand the rules and play better:
There must be at least two parts to the word. When you need to look up a word, make it as simple as possible and think of the words that come to mind first. In Phrazle, a word like "fruit" is made up of two parts. Most of the time, we think of "fruit" as a whole, while "u" is what we define in Phrazle.
Each word must be used at least once in a sentence. This rule is one of the most important ones. If you break it, you don't play the same round as everyone else. If you don't follow this rule, you can still use common words, but you must use at least one Phrazled word in each phrase.
