Spellie is a fun version of Wordle that you can show your elementary school-aged children. Spellie was created by a Vancouver father who compiled a list of words based on how many words his 5-year-old daughter knew.
How to play
Spellie has three different levels of difficulty built in, so both younger children who are just starting to play word games and older children with larger vocabularies can play this game.
Letters can also be entered in any order, which is a useful feature. For example, if your child has a green G in the third position, they can click on that circle and type G first. This makes it easier for them to imagine possible solutions when trying again. Also, the keyboard at the bottom of the screen doesn't appear to be a keyboard. Instead, the letters are listed in alphabetical order (easier for most children but a bit confusing for adult players).
