Zpordle
Zpordle is a word puzzle game with a mathematical twist based on the popular word game Wordle. The player has ten tries to guess the target number using the prime and p-adic distance after being given a random integer between 0 and 1000.
How to play
Random Integer: The game randomly selects an integer as the target each day between 0 and 1000.
Players make educated estimates using prime numbers in ascending order. For example, the first guess can be connected to prime number 2, the second guess to prime number 3, the third guess to prime number 5, and so on.
For each prime used as a guess, the game determines the p-adic distance between the prime the player guesses and the target number. When x = npk and n is not divisible by p, the p-adic norm of the integer x with respect to the prime number p is defined as pk. The p-adic norm of the difference between two integers is the p-adic distance between them.
Feedback: Based on the player's predicted p-adic distance, the game will give them feedback. Players can use this knowledge to reduce their number of potential targets.
The player must use their grasp of p-adic distances and knowledge of prime numbers to accurately estimate and identify the target number in the prescribed 10 tries.
